Its pouring down buckets outside as I’m writing this paragraph perched atop my comforter, relieved not to be stuck somewhere in traffic or caught out in the rain. Meanwhile my baby rotweiler Marlie (well, not such a baby at 32kilos) is going nuts barking at every audible clash of thunder. Theres something appealing about the summer rain that moves you to want to go out, bare footed and carefree to take the step out and experience rain on your skin. On this windy day in Bataan, the waves were forceful as they crashed. When I wasn’t being bowled over or stumbling about from the push of the waves, I happily revelled in the sea air.
